C&F Eng are specialists on in Reconditioned Engines for all makes and models. We specialise in Classic Cars and all Modern and Commercial Vehicles.

We have been established since 1972 and we have team members who have accumulated several years of experience working on all vehicles from classics such as the Jaguar E Type to all modern day vehicles including BMW and Audi. "A Huge thanks to this professional company, I would highly recommend to anybody who has engine issues with their vehicles. The exceeded my expectations. I was kept updated, the work completed in the time frame given . These guys really know there stuff , can't recommend enough. I now have my ford ranger back on the road thanks to C and F . "C&F have recently supplied and fitted two recon engines for work vans. Good efficient service and kept me up to date with the timings of the work. Prices were very competitive. Would recommend using them."

"C&F engineering have got to be the worst garage for engine work .They took my transit away for a recon engine past that point communication was a one way .They do not call you back they have left me with a dangerous vehicle and 6 months on after many problems this van gas had to be returned to the garage 4 times .I am now considering scrapping a £10000 pound van because it is not road worthy .I have owned this van for the past 4.5years .It as been well maintained .The problem was the con rods .But since they messed with this van it has had nothing but engine problems .Now the vacuum pump keeps failing and randomly i have no brakes .The dpf is now full of soot because they could not figure out the air fuel ratio was wrong .The incompetence of this company is staggering .This van will now cost me thousands to put right. I would not recommend"

Trader reply: "Thank you for your feedback as it's very important to us. We value your comments as customer service is our priority. Customer contacted us originally stated he had an engine problem and he believed there was an issue with the bottom end of the engine and it required an engine replacement. The customer had his engine replaced with a reconditioned bare engine and advised the work was completed. We had a call from the customer some time after and said he had an issue with power, we arranged collection of the van and checked the van to find the dpf filter was blocked. This is not part of the work we done and was part of the van’s exhaust system and this had an issue. Even though this was not work we had done or charged the customer for, we arranged for the dpf to be cleaned and regenerated through the diagnostics system. The van was tested and driven back to the customer with no issues. If the dpf filter has blocked up again, then this is an issue that the customer needed to resolve. The air and fuel ratio what the customer has mentioned, has nothing to do with the work we have done as this is outside the bare engine and is known as ancillary equipment. This is something also which once again we have not worked on or charged for. I feel this review is very unfair as customer wanted us to undertake a lot of work for no extra cost, which even though we had done some extra work we were not prepared to keep doing so."
