Vehicles are so complicated these days with high data stream systems like CAN HD, FlexRay and even fiber optic technologies in the latest high-end vehicles, all making the traditional CAN BUS and LIN BUS systems seem antiquated.

After 35 years’ experience in the motor trade, I always think I've seen it all, but some days even I'm surprised at the next unusual problem, it’s never very much fun at the time but a great sense of achievement when you get to the bottom of a difficult problem. The majority of the mobile work is the usual brakes, servicing, vehicles not starting and the myriad of other issues which affect cars and I do all that too, and after all these years still enjoy it.
