These days many car manufacturers are issuing recalls of their models, often amounting to thousands of even millions of vehicles.
Luxury British car maker Rolls-Royce recently issued its own product recall not for a specific model, but for a single car in the US - a £231,730 Ghost - because of an issue with the side airbags fitted in the front seats.
There are probably a number of car manufacturers who would love to have such an issue at the moment.
Rolls BMW of North America recalled the 2014 vehicle, writing to the owner: "The affected vehicle has thorax air bags fitted to both front seats that may fail to meet the side impact performance requirements for the front seat occupants. As such, this vehicle may fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 214, 'Side Impact Protection'."
They added that a Rolls-Royce dealer will replace the driver and passenger thorax air bag modules free of charge.
It seems that the car left the Rolls-Royce factory in January 2014 but its North American owner had not actually taken delivery yet.
